The Beatles “Please Please Me" early UK Stereo Parlophone Y/B Label Vinyl LP.
Description:
Early Parlophone Y/B label mono pressing that ran from summer 1963-January 1964 using the 1st press -1N-1N matrix and on thick heavyweight vinyl, these early pressings really pack a punch and are the definitive way to experience the Beatles raw debut in all its mono glory.
Key Features:
Matrix: Side 1: YEX 94-1; Side 2: YEX 95-1
- Labels: Black labels with yellow logo and silver print. “The Parlophone Co. Ltd” printed at the start perimeter print and “Recording first published 1963″.
- Inner: Polythene-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve.
- Stampers: 1/P & 1/G
- Sleeve: Large 'Stereo' G&L Flip-back Sleeve
Visual Grade: EXCELLENT PLUS!
In good natural light the record exhibits a deep glossy and clean appearance without visible scratches or marks. Scrutinised under strong direct halogen spotlight the disc retains its glossy sheen and shows short light hairlines only. A superb example of a very early yellow and black Parlophone UK stereo press.
Audio Grade: EXCELLENT PLUS!
It sounds fantastic, great channel separation, crisp vocals and punchy bass from the famous early Y/B Parlophone pressings. Clearly no loud pop, repeat clocks or skips at this high grade. Fantastic!
Sleeve: VERY GOOD MINUS!
Glossy front, with wear at the edges and some light discolouration/staining. Fully intact with some wear to the flip backs.
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS!
The original poly-lined EMITEX inner sleeve is in excellent condition, clean and without any splits.
