Description
BEATLES Please Please Me Gold/Black 1963 LP
Original black & gold label debut 1963 Parlophone LP from the Beatles. Original mono record with side 1 matrix: XEX 421 - 1N & side 2 matrix number: XEX 422 - 1N Record housed in early 60s style Parlophone flip back sleeve manufactured by Ernest J. Day & Co. Photo on front cover is credited to Angus McBean in very small print on the bottom right hand corner of cover.
Item shows signs of pre owner ship but is still in a very desirable collectable & playable shape. I've listened to both sides through so can comment fully on the sound quality and report that it is still a great player without any serious problems. On the whole, the record plays as new with only occasional periods of light audible wear. I will outline in detail the condition of the cover and then record. Cover is intact but has some minor storage wear comprising of some very light creasing and some light edge scuffing. There is also some light discoloration and signs of age on the reverse. Absolutely no serious problems. Cover still smart with absolutely no serious defects. For the most part, the record plays and sounds as new. Record centers show some sign of use but no signs of over-play. The majority of the problems with the record are found on side one. Side two still plays very close to new with virtually no defects. Side 1 shows signs of use with lightly visible surface marking and some occasional light surface scratching but still plays well without any jumps, sticks or heavy scratches. There is some occasional light background noise most noticeable in some quieter passages and between some songs with the and occasional audible "tick" mark but this in no way distracts from overall condition of the record. ABSOLUTELY NO SERIOUS OR HEAVY SCRATCHES, JUMPS OR STICKS OF ANY KIND.
