Here's an original Australian 1st MONO pressing of the Please Please Me  LP by The Beatles, issued in 1963

 

1st full Australian pressing issued in October 1963

 

This 1st issue is distinguished by the 'Made In Australia for the Parlophone Co. Ltd, Sydney, N.S.W.',

which is an additional line above the copyright information at the bottom of the labels

 

Has the Mono only catalogue no. on the top right corner of the rear sleeve as a Stereo issue hadn't been issued yet

 

These 2 features determine a 1st Australian issue from 1963, from the later gold label pressings

 

These are now rarely available especially in decent condition, and are amongst the most sought after of all Australian Beatles LP's

CONDITION

VINYL:  VG+

Vinyl is a very strong VG+ hairlines only, no heavy marks at all, these deep grooved originals play great & this is no exception, in really fine condition

 

LABELS:  EX+ to Near MINT

Both Labels are in EX+ to Near MINT condition with no real spindle wear, in superb shape

 

SLEEVE:   VG+

Sleeve is VG+ this is a notoriously flimsy sleeve so it's extremely difficult to find many that are not completely trashed,

this is in very decent condition, very small tear to bottom left front corner, in fine shape
