Description
Up for auction is a copy of Paperback Writer backed with Rain, by the Beatles, released in 1966 on Parlophone, cat no R 5452. This copy has labels printed in a very rare alternate “tall / narrow" typeface, so rare a variation that one could not be tracked down for Bruce Spizer’s recent “Beatles For Sale on Parlophone Records”, (a computer-generated mock-up was used instead).
Condition: not only is this a rare variant, but it is in great condition too. There are a few spindle trails on each label, and a very minor small hairline or two on either side, but this is a great example. EX all round.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
