Description
"And now ladies and gentleman a group all the way from England, Here they are THE BEATTES!" How could any self respecting Beatles collector call their collection complete without this rarity Beatles copy of "Please Please Me" by The Beattes! record label, unknown Cat # CSJ-273. This odd rarity is in stereo, when stereo was in its infancy! I have listened to this one and I must say it sounds great! Of course you get the surface noise but on the dead spaces and not so much during play. It sounds incredible! I was astounded!! Of course this one has the offset type on the labels (see photos) as well as the Beatles spelled as "The Beattes". Also, how about A Taste Honey? instead of "A Taste of Honey" Weird and obscure indeed! Jacket is just a paper cover in a plastic sleeve. The paper cover is in Good condition showing vintage wear and sleeve has opening along the top edge and open at pocket insertion however, I believe this to be normal for these type of early import sleeves and not a defect or anything. I also believe this to be a rare Vietnamese press. also, I was told this LP to have been previously owned by a soldier during the Vietnam war. The story has it that the soldiers obtained these records during the Vietnam war and they even listened to them on record players on their leisure if nothing else perhaps during battle! Soldiers bought these as souvenirs and brought them back home with them. I am certain that not many of these pressing have survived which make this a true rarity indeed! The Vinyl is VG+ with some light scratches, scuffing . Labels are also VG+ I did not notice any spindle marks on each side. Thanks for looking!
