Description

Beatles: Please Please Me / Ask Me Why: 1963

Parlophone Red Label 1st press

Record Number: 45-R 4983:

Matrix Numbers:

Side 1 Please Please Me: 7XCE 17217-1N: Stamping Code MPT1 & GD

Side 2 Ask Me Why: 7XCE 17218-1N: Stamping Code MPT1 & A

Looking at contents of other recent sales, I suspect that this is a very early release.

The vinyl recording surfaces are in very good condition, with slight marking (no scratches) and plays very well on both sides with no crackles, background noise or jumps.

The label is also in very good condition on both sides and has no writing on either side.

The label does not have the ‘MADE IN GT BRITAIN’ text under the logo.

Unfortunately, I do not have the original sleeve.
