If you are considering purchasing a butcher from anywhere, we think it is very important that you read some of our personal grading considerations below.

First of all, we don't believe in terms such as mint, perfectly peeled, etc. Why ? Because they don't exist. Anyone that collects trading cards will tell you that most cards are far from mint even when they are taken from a fresh factory pack. Record album jackets are no different, especially used ones. Even the outrageously gorgeous second state butcher in shrinkwrap we offered a few weeks back was only listed as "near mint". Why ? Because we don't believe in overgrading items.  As far as peeling butcher covers,we perform this work everyday and have for over 20 years so we can feel confident in our opinion that one should be careful about claims about "perfect peels". While yes, to most folks, this may be an acceptable term, the real fact is that these covers have been permanently altered by the recovering process at the Capitol factory in the stages of becoming 2nd state covers and therefore, it is our professional opinion that such claims of perfect peels are obvious exaggerations and nothing else. Even with trunk slicks that are removed in one whole piece without tearing. Sellers who send their items out to have them peeled don't actually know what has been done to the jacket because they haven't performed the work or observed it being done. Our butchers never leave out site and we can accurately vouch 100% for all work that has been performed. Regardless, there will always be slight glue residue or glue rings or faint lines present. Look closely at close up photographs and you will almost always see glue haze, horizontal lines or circular rings running down the the right side near the mouth opening. Far from perfect friends. Caveat Emptor. We offer a meaningful Certificate Of Authenticity specifying the chain of custody.

SPECIFIC CONDITION OF THIS ITEM IS AS FOLLOWS:

The front cover on this butcher cover being offered for sale, as you can see from the photos, is very nice without any major issues. Nothing seriously wrong with the butcher slick.  Capitol factory glue lines and residue is very minor and there is just a very slight line of wear or crease from the Capitol factory pasting just above Paul's watch, but nothing serious. Other than this, just a few tiny edge spots near the very top of the stereo banner, nothing that even the close up photos will pickup. The seams and spine are all complete on this one with the exception of  a 1/4 inch chip of missing paper at the very top of the spine and an even smaller ship on the bottom of the spine. Ohr than this, the other two corners show a bit of wear with a minute beginng crack towards the end of the bottom and possibly a pinch in the very center of the bottom. As you can see in the photo, for demonstartion purposes only we carefullly inserted a record and inner sleeve to show the strength of the seams however we strictly advise this is not repeated to preserve the seam condition in the future. The back is very clean with only very light wear just a few small minor stains. No biggie. We are being very picky here and must say that all of the condition issues are minor and this is a very solid sleeve.

We are one of the only in house professional butcher peelers on Ebay and would put this particular peel up against nearly anything out there. The only way you'd get a better peel is if you peeled a NM version and then the reserve would be quite a bit higher. We peel butcher covers for many other Ebay sellers and many of these sellers have receive record prices for these items,and this is no exception. We don't overgrade our items. Honesty is the best policy. If there is anything, even the most minor of problems, with a butcher jacket such as a wear spot or minor wear issue, it doesn't qualify for a NM grade in our opinion even if the peel is NM, so this jacket would probably come in at an overall VG+ grading even though the peel as just about as nice as any other peel we have offered. 

We strictly advise against attempting to place the record in this jacket to avoid any pressure on the 42+ year old paper and seam repairs. Don't let these condition issues scare you...this package will blow you away but the price wont.  Please feel to contact us for more information on this.
