Description
This is the total package, meaning it includes the original shipping box, Geo disc, booklet (still unopened) and of course, all 14 LP's. The box containing the albums is in excellent condition - as you can see, the brass retains the original, untarnished gold luster and the soft black felt is present on the bottom of the box. Since the booklet is unopened I don't know the Certificate # but you can be the first to find out or keep it sealed. The original mailer box is included. As for the records, I can only state that I played 3 of them and they sounded great. I examined the others and they look fine. I am reluctant to give the records a grade since so much varies on the type of turntable/stylus that is used for playing. I have seen some listings that claim the records are unplayed - this is not the case here. I don't want to play all the records just to grade them for the listing, but if you use the visual condition of everything else as a guide it is apparent the records have been handled with care and the sound quality of these MSFL recordings is unsurpassed. For example, I played the "Magical Mystery Tour" LP for my wife and daughter, and at the point about 2/3's through the title track where the bus revs up it's engine, they both went, "What was that?" Neither of them had heard the bus so clearly before - that's just a small example of the "presence" of the sound you get from these half speed master recordings. On the first album (recorded by The Beatles in one day) you almost feel like you are in the studio with the group, the individual instruments are so clear and distinct. Even a throw away song such as "'Til There Was You" becomes a new listening experience. As George's guitar solo rings out of the speakers you can almost see his fingers moving up and down the frets.
Shipping is free but due to the size of the package, there will be no shipping outside the U.S. and it will be shipped via Parcel Post so it may take longer than usual for the box to arrive. I will use an alternate (faster) shipping method if the winning bidder pays the actual additional cost. Please ask any questions prior to bidding and thanks for looking.
On May-03-09 at 06:54:08 PDT, seller added the following information:Please note, I received a question regarding the Certificate # and I looked at the mailing label and noticed something that may apply. On the bottom right of the mailing lable there is a number stamped, "C 061969." I don't know for sure if that is the Certificate number but it does correspond with the place the bidder asked me to look. I hope this helps.
