Description
Up for auction is a copy of Love Me Do b/w PS I Love You by The Beatles, released in 1962 on Parlophone, cat no 45-R 4949. This is a genuine first UK red label pressing. More significantly, the mother / stamper numbers are 1-P / 1-G, making it among the first few thousand off the press.
Condition: some minor marks on the a-side, nothing affecting play. There’s a more serious scuff on the b-side, which causes clicks (but no jumps or sticks on my turntable) for much of the surface. Labels are clean apart from a few spindle trails. Somewhere between G+ & VG- overall.
