THE BEATLES: LET IT BE - TREASURED BOX SET

A lovely complete copy of the first press UK presentation box set of Let It Be by The Beatles from 1970.
This well cared for red apple set comes from a one-owner collection and is definitely one of the better examples you may find today.
Most purchasers quickly discovered that the box and tray fell apart as they weren't quite robust enough to house the heavy contents but this example has survived well.
All of the components are totally original and have not been replaced with reproduction items.
Also the rare first edition photographic book remains fully intact (many shed their pages as soon as they were opened).
This set naturally includes the very first pressing of the Let It Be LP itself with the sleeve featuring the rare red apple and the disc with first press 2U/2U matrices.
The disc is in brilliant EX condition, having been very little played.
The red apple record sleeve is also EX with virtually no faults to report.
The book is smart and fully intact with just a little rubbing at the bottom of the rear spine.
The outer box remains mirror glossy and is very smart and presentable, with just a little creasing here and there and remarkably very little edge or corner wear.
The two fragile die-cut cardboard inner tray components are very well preserved and I have photographed them separately so that you can see how well they have survived.
All in all a lovely example of this highly sought after set.
Good luck if you are bidding - I will package this item very carefully to ensure there is no damage caused during transit (postage cost is a bit higher than usual as this will be a large packet).
