Here is superb barely played original uk first pressing of this excellent very rare 1970 Apple label album by 'John Tavener'. This copy is the earliest possible uk issue with the 'A-1u & B-1u' matrixes, and the '1-G & 1-G' mother/stamper codes. The 'Garrod & Lofthouse' matt gatefold sleeve is also the earliest with the 'Patents Pending' text. All pictures provided are of the actual album for sale. Please check out my other items!
Both sides of the vinyl are in stunning near mint condition, this rare album still has it's excellent original full sheen, there are no surface marks or scratches at all, there are only a few ultra-light withdrawal traces that were caused by the paper inner sleeve, these are so minor and light that they can only be seen in much harsher bright light. Both sides play and sound excellent throughout, there are no bad marks so there are no overly loud clicks or pops or annoying loud background crackle, this album only plays with the tiniest amounts of occasional extremely light behind the music static crackle. The labels are just about perfect with barely any signs of play at all. The matt gatefold sleeve was made and printed in the uk by 'Garrod & Lofthouse ltd' (Patents pending). This cover is in excellent condition with no faults at all. The front/back and inside show just the lightest signs of storage and handling. The edges and spine are excellent with barely any wear and all spine text in clear and easy to read. The original Apple Records paper inner sleeve is in excellent clean condition with no splits. This is just a superb earliest first uk pressing that will definitely not disappoint in any way.

I pack my records very well with plenty of rigid card support to avoid damage. I keep all Post Office Payment Recipes as proof of postage. I always print my name and address on the back of all parcels i send, so the chances of a item going missing are pretty much nil. I cannot take responsibility for any non-insured items that may be unfortunate to go missing or get damaged in the post. The recorded post option is always there, it may cost a few extra pounds for international buyers, but it is definitely worth it for the extra piece of mind.
