Up for auction is an EXTREMELY rare original STEREO copy of The Beatles classic "Introducing The Beatles" on VeeJay. As most collectors know, the market has been flooded with fake, counterfiet issues of this legendary LP, and finding a legitimate stereo VJ LP from 1964 is almost impossible. During the early 60's, the market was primarily geared towards mono pressing and small labels such as VJ devoted very little time to pressing stereo LP's, and that is what makes this item so rare. Using Perry Cox' Beatles price guide, I have run every test in the book on this LP and have determined that it is 100% authentic with correct stampings, label colors, and cover flaps. This is not the finest copy in the world, but this disc is so rare that you will have to pay a fortune for a really nice one as NM copies have a book value of around $1200 for this particular variation. Here is a chance to add an authentic stereo VJ to your collection at a reasonalble price. The item pictured is the item you will recieve.
CONDITION
COVER- This is the rare cover with "STEREOPHONIC" in large grey letters across the top. Unfortunately, the condition is only about VG with some general rub wear to the front and back. All seams as well as the spine (with printing) are still fully intact. There is also a remnant of a name which was written on the front cover that has been successfully removed for the most part.
VINYL- The disc grades about GOOD+ with many light marks throughout. Suprisingly, none of these marks are very deep. Many dealers would call this VG- but I want to be on the safe side.
LABELS- The labels are very nice, about VG++ with nothing more than some very light spindle wear. All the colors are bright and vibrant with no fading or discoloration.
