SPECIFIC CONDITION OF THIS ITEM IS AS FOLLOWS:

This piece is similar condition wise to the one we sold a few weeks ago. The front cover, as you can see from the photos, is awesome. Factory glue residue/professional touch up is practically non existent as you can see in the photos. This is a great peel as you can see in the photos with no major issues as far as the butcher cover is concerned. 

We are one of the only in house professional butcher peelers on Ebay and would put this particular peel up against just about anything out there. We peel butcher covers for many Ebay sellers and they have receive record prices for these items,and this is no exception. We don't overgrade our items. Honesty is the best policy. If there is anything, even the most minor of problems, with a butcher jacket such as a wear spot or minor wear issue, it doesn't qualify for a NM grade in our opinion even if the peel is NM, so this jacket would probably come in at an overall VG+/VG grading even though the peel as just about as nice as any other peel we have offered. As far as the physical issues of the jacket are concerned, the top seam is completely tight and intact. The bottom seam is tight with just a one inch beginning crack that has been gently and professionally repaired. There is some paper chipping and loss to the spine paper on very top and bottom of spine. The spine has also been professionally mitigated with archival glue to prevent any further issues. This jacket is solid enough for a record an inner sleeve to comfortably be inserted into the jacket as seen in the photo, however we strictly advise against this as it is safer to avoid any pressure on the 40+ year old paper. No big deal and this is why the piece is marked down below $1000. Is this the best butcher we have ever sold? No, but pretty darn close to it !! This may not be for the ultra picky buyer, but this is the perfect Butcher for those who don't want to spend $1000 or more but want a Genuine 1966 3rd State Butcher Cover that looks just as nice in regard to the Butcher slick. Nothing else too out of the ordinary.The back is decent and fairly clean with some average overall tanning/aging/light ring wear.No writing, stickers or other troubles !

Auction includes mono record which came with this piece and is in fair condition with the original orange Capitol inner sleeve with some archival tape repair . The removed trunk slick is included but shows wrinkling, wear, tear and minor repair.
