Mail order only release.  Features 124 tracks spread over 8 LPs.  Each album comes in its own individual colour sleeve with extensive liner notes on the back of each album cover.

Essential purchase for Beatles completists, as some of the tracks featured on this box set have slightly different mixes than were available on other Beatles releases at the time.  Below is a list of the more significant differences/anomalies;

Across The Universe - (Version 2) produced by Phil Spector.

All My Loving - Two seconds longer than original release, with the "Hi-hat" intro

All You Need Is Love - the mono version.

And I Love Her - contains six bars of acoustic guitar in the fadeout instead of the usual four.

Baby You're A Rich Man - the true stereo version, previously found at that time just on the German Magical Mystery Tour LP.

The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill - appears as it does on The Beatles ("white album"), minus the opening guitar obbligato.

The End/Her Majesty - the pause between the two songs lasts for only five seconds. On Abbey Road, the time between tracks is fifteen seconds.

Get Back - the album version, produced by Phil Spector.

Help!  -  The mono single version

I'm Only Sleeping - the extremely rare version with the slightly delayed guitar solo, previously found just on the U.S. stereo eight-track tape edition of "Yesterday" And Today.

I Am The Walrus - the composite version put together by Capitol Records engineers John Palladino and George Irwin for the U.S. commercial Rarities.  The only release in the U.K. (ever??) of the version with, six repeats of the organ introduction, four extra beats before "Yellow Matter Custard", and the final fade is in mono.

I Feel Fine - the true stereo version that begins with tapping drum sticks, whispering, coughing and Ringo closing his "hi-hat" cymbal.

Let It Be (Version 2) "reproduced for disc" by Phil Spector.

Love Me Do - (Version 1) the rare one with Ringo on drums.

Penny Lane - the composite version from the U.S. commercial Rarities.  At the end there is an additional trumpet coda, here on a British release for the FIRST time.

Please Please Me - The stereo version with John's lyric error

She's A Woman - the true stereo version - previously available at that time just in Australia and in Singapore/Malaysia/Hong Kong.

Strawberry Fields Forever - the true stereo version.

Thank You Girl - the original mono version without John's extra harmonica fills.

CONDITION:       STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  I aim to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK.    All records are checked in good natural light and play tested IN FULL at a high volume on an original Technics 1210 MK2 turntable fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red stylus (tracking at 1.8g).    Used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing, unless condition deems unnecessary. 

SUPERB PLAYING CONDITION.    Playing condition is NrMINT/MINT.    Albums have clearly had very little play.    No discernible difference compared to a brand new record.   Overall,  NO crackle  NO loud consecutive clicks  NO distortion  NO jumps  NO sticking. 

Visually the vinyl looks superb and the sides are either in EX, NrMINT or MINT condition.   Very, very few and light surface-only marks/scuffs.  Vinyls look lovely and clean and retain their original sheen.  

Labels are NrMINT/MINT.   2 or 3 light spindle marks on some labels.   All text perfectly readable.   NO writing  NO stickers.

All 8 individual colour picture sleeves are in MINT condition   No edge, corner or spine wear.  NO ringwear,  NO sticker marks,  NO writing.  The opening edges are all still nice and straight with NO feathering.   Sleeves look hardly touched – as good as new.   

Outer box in EX+ condition.    Just some minor edge/corner wear – hardly noticeable.    NO rips/tears  NO writing  NO stickers.

Record Collector Magazine Grading System  - VINYL

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
