Up for auction is this beautiful Japanese Mono Red Wax pressing of the Beatles for Sale EAS-70133. This is the 1982 edition w/obi souvenir intact. Deadwax info is side 1 YEX-142-M 1S and side 2 is YEX-143-M 1S this is actually a blunder because since this is a mono recording both matrices should be stamped XEX not YEX which indicates a beatles stereo pressed record. However this recording is in its true mono form 1982 limited edition red wax originating from Japan. The vinyl lays very flat on turntable with hardly any surface noise but a few clicks on side one. There are a few hairline scratches on both sides but does not affect play but very little. There is a hairline that goes over the width of side 1 which causes a few ticks between tracks. Side 2 has minor hairline scratches but again nothing major and does not affect play. I would rate the overall vinyl a VG++ Very smooth playable copy with deep bass and great high end. The cover I would give an Ex- with a small crease or bend in the upper right corner and upper back left side. Labels are VG- There are some spindle scratches on sides one and two as indicated by the pics taken above. Overall a great copy and highly respected by many Beatles collectors as one of the best Mono versions around. Serious bidders only! Intl shipping rates would apply!
