Extremely Rare MONO Red Vinyl w/ OBI!
This extremely rare copy of The Beatles' BEATLES FOR SALE is one of
a limited edition, 10,000 pressing run made in 1982 by EMI/Odeon - Japan.
Finding a nice copy of this is nearly impossible!
Why so rare?...
As most of you reading this already know, the monophonic, red vinyl Beatles titles released in this series were - and are - coveted by collectors.
These audiophile issues were carefully monitored pressing runs, and are considered the ultimate
way to hear the original Beatle mono mixes.
Using high definition virgin vinyl, the original U.K. mono mixes and extreme care in packaging, this Japanese pressed series of albums -
based on the Parlophone catalog in the U.K. - are the ultimate way to experience the Fab Four in mono.
In many cases, the mono mixes are quite different from their stereo counterparts.
The red vinyl is close to near mint. There is a very faint spindle mark that can be seen only on the label of side 2; looks very much unplayed. The jacket is sharp and graded as VG+. Clean surface with no spine splits; bump on bottom corner by the opening, and a little sign of careless handling on the back (were OBI is shown). The OBI has a minor tear on the back, otherwise it is in very nice condition. The included English/Japanese fold-out lyric sheet has no tear or fold.
