Description

This is the 1966 German pressing of BEATLES FOR SALE in stereo, on the Odeon label which appears to have been a division of EMI Worldwide. 
The disc has some light abrasions visible under a good light, and light surface noise audible between tracks that I heard listening on some revealing Stax headphones. I'll conservatively drop this down to VG. The cover is in nice VG+ shape, and I think may be identical to the UK cover except for "Printed in Germany" and a German-language notice about how this modern stereo LP can be played on mono gear, etc. As the gold cover sticker says, "STEREO (auch MONO abspielbar)."
Anyway, these early LP Beatles pressings were bright, lively, dynamic and fun, and sound better and better as our playback gear gets better. 
And, something that nobody ever mentions, the liner notes on "Beatles for Sale" are by Derek Taylor and are pretty terrific, detailing where double-tracking occurs on voice, or the anomalous credits like George on African drum, and Ringo playing on a packing case for "Words of Love." Also just being generally thoughtful and intelligent, and saying "The kids from AD 2000 will draw from the music much the same sense of well-being and warmth as we do today." You'd have to admit he's not wrong.
