BEATLES Butcher Cover 2nd State Unpeeled Capitol T-2553 Mono Yesterday And Today

RECORD CONDITION:
VG- / Vinyl is clean and shiny.
Numerous visible scratches and scuffs.
Rainbow labels are clean and wear-free.
Matrix numbers (etched, not stamped):
T-1-2553-F-23 / T-2-2553-G-20.
COVER CONDITION:
None of these cover images have been modified except one.
I attempted to boost the contrast
on the section of white space to the right
of the trunk to make Ringo’s V-neck visible.
The other photos have not been manipulated.
Spine is COMPLETELY split.
Top and bottom seams are intact
with heavy wear and partial splitting.
There is very small triangular dent at opening
that looks like it was cut intentionally (see photo).
Small ball point pen mark at upper
left corner of front cover (see photo).
Light but visible ring wear on trunk slick.
Large sections of discoloration on white space of back cover (see photo).
#6 printed to the left of the RIAA logo
at bottom right corner of back cover.
ORIGINAL INSERTS and/or SLEEVE:
Record stored in printed CAPITOL RECORDS paper inner sleeve.
Sleeve is creased and torn and record contact points.
NOTES:
This is one of the holy grails of BEATLES collectibles!!!
The record and edges and seams
of the cover are in pretty rough shape.
However, this copy may be a good candidate for a professional peel
job in that an unpeeled “Butcher” cover is clearly
visible to the right of the trunk.
