I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Fair / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
THE BEATLES.
BEATLES FOR SALE.
ORIGINAL UK PARLOPHONE STEREO LP PCS 3062.
UK stereo first pressing with parlophone rims and sold in the UK text. The side 1 label has the rarer MT tax code.
The Cover / VG condition. The cover has survived well. The top and bottom of the spine have some wear but nothing bad. I've seen this cover in far worse conditions over the years. The back of the cover has a small shop sticker that has been on the cover since new. This is a strong Very Good example and not rubbish.
The Record / VG condition. The record is in Very Good condition with a nice full gloss. This is a strong Very Good condition with just some light surface wear/marks when graded under halogen bulbs. The disc has no deep or nasty marks.
Matrix Numbers: YEX 142-1, YEX 142-1
Labels / VG + condition. Just some spindle marks.
The Inner / VG+ condition. EMETEX inner cover, nice example with some light age wear only.
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
