Description

Beatles 2nd State (Unpeeled) Los Angeles #6 Butcher Cover
Please read entire description/auction terms prior to bidding on this item. Thank You !
Many collectors consider genuine Butcher Covers the "holy grail" of their record collection. While these jackets may seem costly to the entry level collector, these particular jackets are hard to source that don't look noticeably worn or used. The better examples have tended to hold or even increased in their value over the years. A First State cover sold recently on Ebay for over 12k ! While that is certainly out of reach for most collectors, this offering is certainly more attainable.
Keep in mind that as more Butcher Covers are continuing to be peeled every day, these nicer 2nd state examples are also becoming scarcer by the day.
This Butcher Cover is an excellent value that presents nicely and considering the decent condition of the seams and spine, this offering presents better than most you see in this price range. This jacket has a few very minor condition issues (see detailed description below) but is a great better than average example that presents well in this price range.
These jackets are much harder to come by in such displayable condition.
Please read the jacket description below for specific details on condition.
This item will be safely and securely double boxed and shipped to you via Priority Mail. Please read complete description prior to bidding.
Condition:
Front of Jacket:

Front of this 2nd State #6 Los Angeles jacket presents nicely and while not pure white, very nice color with very little wear or signs of aging.
Please see photos to verify the specific conditions (photos may vary slightly in colors, shading, etc due to different lighting sources used during photography) described and feel free to contact with questions. The item shown is exact item that you will receive and is a decent example of a west coast peel.

Seams:
Top seam appears complete and mostly unspilt with the exception of a rub below the paper near the end of the right side of the top seam in between "File Under The Beatles and T2553" (see close up photo of this area). Bottom seam also mostly complete with the exception being a rub on the very end of that seam which is very common (see bottom seam photos and close up of this area) To protect the integrity of what remains of these seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be attempted to be forced or stored inside this jacket (See close up photos of seams).
Spine:
Spine is complete and intact with all writing present. (See Spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket is decent with only light evidence of wear, foxing or light staining. (see photo of back)
Record:
Comes with fairly clean West Coast mono pressing in VG to VG+ (only light scratches/sleeve scuffs) and some visual groove wear on the song "What Goes On" . Capitol 1966 Goldenrod West Coast inner sleeve is decent with mostly intact seams with a few small tears (see photos of inner sleeve).
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $39.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $39.99. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts must contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. What you see is what you get. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling/restoration process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
Please not that T- Shirt seen in background is NOT INCLUDED in this auction and is for display purposes only.
Thank You !
