Beatles Authentic Peeled Mono 3rd State Butcher Cover
Beatles 1966 Genuine Scranton 3rd State (Peeled) Mono Butcher Cover w/Removed Trunk Slick
An unbeatable gift for any Beatles fan ! This is a great first time offering for somebody who wants a genuine 3rd state peeled Butcher Cover with decent seams and spine for a reserve of under $900. There is a slightly higher Buy It Now price as these jackets are very desirable ,especially those that present well for under $1000. A very respectable specimen for a 50 year old 3rd state (Peeled) jacket.
Near Mint Peeled mono Butcher Covers can sell for as high as $1200 or even $1600 or more if they are really nice. This is a guaranteed original 1966 Capitol 3rd state (peeled) mono Butcher cover. This is only a 5 day auction.
The good news is that the seams and spine are decent on this. Both the top and bottom seam appear to be unsplit and most of the spine printing is present . There is a hint of a beginning rub at the last inch of the bottom spine (see close up of bottom spine) but this is often seen. There is some spine paper/printing wear and checking/cracking (which has been neatly secured) here and there but nearly all of the paper is there. There is a small teeny chip of paper missing at the very top and bottom of the spine . Very normal wear for a jacket of this age. Top and bottom seams are intact . Nothing to get too worried over. The back of the jacket shows light to average wear/tanning with a few light stains one in the bottom right hand corner and one in the top left. Please examine photos for specific condition.
Sorry, there is no trunk slick included in this auction.
There is an original Capitol 1966 inner sleeve and the mono Scranton record that came with this will be included in fair condition (not play graded and not guaranteed to not skip) .
Please note that the Beatles t-shirt seen in the background is NOT INCLUDED in this auction !
