"THE BEATLES' STORY"
Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE! This is an absolutely PRISTINE, guaranteed original SEALED stereo copy of Capitol STBO-2222, the legendary 1964 gatefold 2-LP set. Actually far rarer than it's mono counterpart, not only since stereo LP's at the time were $1 more than mono ($2 more for a 2 record set) but also 'stereo' was not really the standard at the time. Fewer stereo LP's were manufactured than mono to begin with. Even for huge acts like the Beatles, mono was far more common then - and therefore, even more so now!
This copy will satisfy the most finicky collector - the shrink is snug and perfect, corners are sharp with no splits of any sort in the shrinkwrap even at those points. The blue Capitol inner sleeves are clearly visible through the shrink, and are also totally intact, with no visible splits whatsoever even in the inner sleeves. Tiny air holes are visible in the shrink, and there is not even a hint of soil or discoloration anywhere whatsoever beneath the shrink. Truly amazing.
Stereo original 1964 copies of "The Beatles Story" have escalated in value dramatically over the past couple of years, and the most recent Heritage Auction (just over a week ago) resulted in a sealed copy selling for $3,250. It was a beauty, the only difference between this and that being 'Fedco' '$6.97' store/price stickers on it.
