The Beatles
Abbey Road
Fantastic 1969 Beatles UK LP. This was the Beatles' 12th LP, released on the 26th September. It was also the last official Beatles release that was recorded by them. Staying at number one for almost 18 consecutive weeks, it was only knocked off by The Rolling Stones' "Let It Bleed."
Catalogue number: Apple PCS 7088
Matrix Number Side 1: 749-7-1-1
Matrix Number Side 2: 750-5-1-1
Just carries "D" in the run-off groove of each side.
Vinyl: VG. I have just listened to the whole album and found there to be some background noise...However, saying that, she got progressively better and the rather quiet track Sun King played through gorgeously with very little background noise-so she improves with play.
There are some whispy marks to her but certainly nothing to make her jump or stick on my Technics deck.
Flat and as shiny as the day she was born.
Labels: EX. I can only see light spindle marks.
NO "Sold in the UK..." text.
Outer text begins: "All Rights of the Producer.."
"Mfd. in the U.K." text. The labels are lovely and vibrant.
This is the lighter version of this Apple label to both sides.
The last song credit DOES HAVE "Her Majesty" on the Side 2 label.
Cover: EX-.The cover of this LP remains solid. The alignment of the Apple Logo on the back is inline with the text. The spine is lovely and strong as well as legible!
Barcoded back.
Just light wear and rubbing.
