Description
This is the 1983 CAPITOL RECORDS U.S. JACKSONVILLE RAINBOW LABEL LP PRESSING of the iconic 1969 album titles 'Abbey Road' from The Beatles. It is Capitol Records U.S. catalog number SO-383, with the original factory shrinkwrap still surrounding the cover - The shrinkwrap over the front cover bears the partly removed remains of a small retail price sticker that bears the original '9 85' month and year of original retail purchase.
This version was pressed 1983-1985 at Capitol's Jacksonville plant as identified by a "0" in the matrix runout. Both sides stamped MASTERED BY CAPITOL.
The Winchester matrix ID stamp —◁ is only visible on side A and has been scratched out.
J. Lemay and ML appear on respective sides as mastering engineers.
Has the Capitol "C" logo and EMI box logo with related text at the bottom of jacket, and the Apple logo has been removed.

Please see my accompanying back cover image for the track listing - 'Her Majesty' has been omitted at the end of the Side 2 track listing as on the original Apple label issues.
Condition of record is a high VG+ with two or three surface marks on both sides of the record which cannot be felt and will not affect play. Condition of cover is also VG+ with the original factory shrinkwrap torn for a couple of inches at the bottom right corner of the cover and with the remnants of the small original retail price sticker affixed to the shrinkwrap near the upper right corner of the front cover. Cover also has a couple of slight wrinkles, a little bit of age discoloration, and a little wear along the right hand open edge and on and near the corners.
This 1983 rainbow label Jacksonville pressing would be a nice addition to any Beatles or classic rock record collection!
