 Another from my personal collection of Beatles albums collected over a period of more than 35 years! I have accumilated more than 1000 Beatles UK albums alone! Here on offer is an early seventies pressing!,, noted that this features the standard EMI mother stampers (numbers and letters) at 3 & 9 ocklock to the matrix (only early press) later 80s pressings feature letters only! Also noted that the vinyl is thicker in material than later pressings! Also the original G&L cover is fully laminated (later press are unlaminated and even later feature a bar code at the rear) These are very rarely seen in this top condition. I have decided to list this because I have grown to realise at how difficult it is to find this album with near perfect audio on vinyl, anyone out there that has been striving to find a good playable copy will realise this, also for the fact that these early copies are becoming increasingly rare and sought after like this!!  This audio is absolutely superbe throughout and boast of a rich deep basey feel that only can be heard on the early pressings! This is it! Audio grades at least excellent plus to near mint on both sides! The original (fully) laminated Garrod & Lofthouse cover is graded as at least excellent condition this is also complete with the original EMI\ Apple record sleeve!!. Please do not get this issue confused with the must later reissues which have a more incepede sound and feature unlaminated covers! If you are after a truly awesome top sounding vinyl pressing of this album then here it is!! Near as perfect as it could be on my systems! (no) clicks or pops just cristal clear and very vibrant top top audio (without distortion) and boasts of being rarely ever played in over 35 years!!!!

Abbey Road is the eleventh official album released by The Beatles. Although its release preceded that of Let It Be, it was the last album to be recorded, and is therefore widely considered as the band's swan song. It was released on September26 1969 in the UK and October 1, 1969 in the US. It was produced and orchestrated by George Martin for Apple Records. Geoff Emerick was the engineer and Tony Banks, tape operator. It is considered one of the Beatles' most tightly constructed albums, although John Lennon dismissed the album in later years, possibly because its focal point — "The Long Medley" — was designed almost entirely by Paul McCartney!!!.

After the near-disastrous sessions for the proposed Get Back album (later retitled Let It Be) Paul McCartney suggested to George Martin the group get together and make an album "the way we used to" free of the conflict that began with the sessions for The White Album. Martin agreed, stipulating that he must be allowed to do the album his way. In their interviews for the Beatles Anthology series the surviving band members stated they knew at the time this would very likely be the final Beatles' product and therefore agreed to set aside their differences and 'go out on a high note'!!.

With the Let It Be album partly finished, the sessions for Abbey Road began in April, as the "Ballad of John and Yoko"/"Old Brown Shoe" single was completed. Most of the album was recorded between 2 July and 1 August 1969. After the album was finished and released, the Get Back/Let It Be project was re-examined. More work was done on the album, including the recording of additional music (see Let It Be). Thus, though the bulk of Let It Be was recorded prior to Abbey Road, the latter was released first, and Abbey Road properly was the last album started by The Beatles before they disbanded. In September 1969, just shortly before the release of the album, John Lennon was on hiatus from the group with the Plastic Ono Band, effectively being the first official sign of dissolution!!.

The two album sides are quite different in character. Side one is a collection of single tracks, while side two consists of a long suite of compositions, many of them being relatively short and segued together. The main impetus behind the suite approach was to incorporate the various short and incomplete Lennon and McCartney compositions the group had available into an effective part of the album!!.

 IMPORTANT NOTE! THIS VINYL IS THE THICKER AND HEAVIER TYPE OF VINYL FOUND ON THESE EARLIER PRESSINGS, I HAVE COMPARED THE VINYL WITH AN EIGHTIES PRESSING AND IT IS ALMOST TWICE AS THICK IN MATERIAL AND MUCH MORE ROBUST WITH DEEPER GROOVES!!

ON INITIAL VISUAL INSPECTION THIS LOOKS AWESOME STILL RETAINING ITS ORIGINAL SHEEN FROM NEW AND GLEEMS LIKE NEW!!,, AND LAYS PERFECTLY FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE.  I CAN BARELY SEE A BLEMISH ON THE PLAYING SURFACE AT ALL!, ANY MARKS THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE SEEN IN STRONG LIGHT WOULD BE SLEEVE REMOVAL ONLY AND NON AUDIO SOUNDING!! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING TOP AUDIO THROUGHOUT!

THE AUDIO QUALITY

I HAVE PLAYED THIS THROUGH TRACK FOR TRACK AT VERY LOUD VOLUME ON A TOP SYSTEM! THE AUDIO IS TRULY STUNNING THROUGHOUT,,CRISTAL CLEAR AND VIBRANT A REAL DEEP BASEY FEEL TO THE AUDIO (ONLY FOUND ON THE EARLIEST PRESSINGS). PLEASE NOTE, AMAIZINGLY  EVEN BETWEEN TRACKS OR THE RUN INS  BACKGROUND NOISE IS EXTREEMELY MINIMAL. IN FACT I NEVER HEARD ANY UNBELEIVABLE!  IMPORTANTLY, I PLAY THESE ON A TOP SYSTEM AT VERY LOUD VOLUME THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF GROOVEWARE OR THAT THIS HAS BEEN OVERPLAYED!,, IN FACT IN MY OPINION THIS HAS BARELY EVER BEEN PLAYED! 

 AUDIO SUMERY (THIS WAS PLAYED THROUGH PRIOR TO LISTING ON A TOP SYSTEM AT VERY LOUD VOLUME! I HAVE GIVEN MY HONEST ACCOUNT ON THE AUDIO AS I HEAR IT! I WOULD CLASS MYSELF AS HIGHLY CRITICAL PLEASE LOOK AT MY COMPLETED LISTINGS OF RECORDS THAT I HAVE SOLD OF THIS CALABER AND YOU WILL SEE THAT I NORMALLY GET IT RIGHT!!

THIS AUDIO IS AWESOME PLAYS THROUGH CRISTAL CLEAR AND VIBRANT! PLEASE NOTE! THIS HAS BEEN STORED IN A CASE LAYING DORMANT FOR AT LEAST 25 YEARS! A BUILD UP OF DIRT AND DUST IN THE GROOVES CAUSES STATIC CRACKLE\TICKS A CONSTANT CLEAN BEFORE EACH PLAY IS RECOMENDED! THIS WILL REDUCE ANY STATIC AND ENHANCE THE AUDIO QUALITY!
