Description
On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Beatles called 'A Hard Days Night' and is a MUCH rarer STEREO UK 1964 1st pressing!!!! IT IS MASSIVELY RARE TO FIND A 1965 STEREO PRESSING OF THIS LP!!!! IT IS EVEN RARER THOUGH - AS A 1965 'SMALL' STEREO PRESSING!!!! THIS IS KNOWN AS THE 1965 '2ND' PRESSING ON THE YELLOW AND BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL!!!! EVEN IN 1965 STEREO PRESSINGS OF THIS LP WERE STILL VERY MUCH THE MINORITY AND SOLD IN TINY QUANITITIES. NOT ONLY THAT - BUT BY 1965 VIRTUALLY NO ONE WAS BUYING COPIES OF THIS BEATLES LP - AS MOST WOULD HAVE BEEN BUYING THE CURRENT BEATLES LPS OF THE TIME (LIKE 'RUBBER SOUL', OR 'HELP'). THERE IS ANOTHER VERY IMPORTANT REASON FOR OWNING THIS STEREO 2ND PRESSING - AND THAT IS THERE IS SOME VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES IN THE MIX (WHEN COMPARED TO THE MONO VERSION)!!!! SOME TRACKS OF COURSE ARE EXACTLY THE SAME - BUT SOME HAVE SOME VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES!!!! HERE ARE THE DIFFERENCES:
If I Fell - On the STEREO Pressing Johns opening vocal is double tracked, the mono pressing does not have this.
A Hard Days Night - The STEREO pressing is slightly longer than the common Mono pressing.
Tell Me Why - On the STEREO pressing Johns vocal is double tracked, the mono version does not have this.
I Should Have Known Better - On the STEREO pressing the closing line is sung 4 times where as on the common Mono pressing it is only sung 3 times. Also the STEREO pressing has a small 'blip' in the harmonica at the beginning of this track, where as the common Mono pressing has a complete unbroken harmonica intro.
THERE MAY ALSO BE OTHER DIFFERENCES IN THE MIX - BUT THESE ARE THE ONLY ONES I KNOW ABOUT. NOT ONLY THIS BUT THIS IS THE VERY RARE 1965 2ND 'SMALL' STEREO PRESSING OF THIS LP WITH THE YELLOW AND BLACK PARLOPHONE LABELS, A 'SMALL' STEREO ON THE FRONT COVER AND THE LABELS, 'THE GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' EDGE TEXT, 'SOLD IN THE UK' TEXT, AND NO 'FIRST PUBLISHED' TEXT!!!! IT REALLY IS INCREDIBLY RARE TO FIND THIS LP AS A STEREO 1965 2ND PRESSING!!!! SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL UK STEREO 2nd pressing from 1965 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! This is an ORIGINAL 2nd 'Small' STEREO Pressing (details of this MEGA RARE 1965 Stereo 2nd Pressing mentioned above), with a Yellow & Black Parlophone Label!!!! The record is pressed on MEGA THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1. The mother and stamper codes are 2/AO & 3 (with a 4 below it)/PG!!!! The Cat. No is PCS 3058 on the ORIGINAL Yellow & Black Parlophone label (see picture) and is a MUCH rarer 1965 STEREO 2nd pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays STUNNINGLY with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss and barely ANY crackle AT ALL (virtually ZERO)!!!! There is NO groovewear and NO nasty 'greying' of the grooves!!!! The record must grade Excellent (Minus) if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL Emitex inner sleeve!!!! The MEGA RARE 'Small' Stereo Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents Pending' Laminated FLIPBACK Cover is in STUNNING condition and is SO RARE to find like this!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (Cover is VERY flat looking), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and NO yellowing!!!! The cover must grade FULL Excellent if not Excellent+!!!! THIS IS A MASSIVELY RARE 1965 'SMALL' STEREO PRESSING - AND SO RARE IN THIS CONDITION!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
