1970 uk 1-Sided custom Apple Acetate. EX+. Here is a impossibly rare original uk custom Apple label acetate 45 by 'Herman's Hermits'. This ultra-rare item should be of really great interest to the Pete Noone/Herman's Hermits collector, and i would think even greater interest to the Beatles/Apple label collector/completists. There would only have been just a couple of these acetates ever pressed, and if you advertised that you wanted one then i seriously doubt that you would ever find another copy. Having hand written labels, this acetate is a unique piece of Herman's Hermits/Apple label Beatles related memorabilia that will probably never surface for sale ever again. CONDITION = EX+
This extremely rare 1-Sided Apple acetate lies perfectly flat on the turntable and is in superb clean condition, the playing side plays and sounds really excellent throughout with barely even a trace of background noise, this is pretty unusual for a acetate that is now 40 years old. The playing side has a very nice original sheen with just a few extremely light wispy top surface marks that are so minor that they have no affect on play, there are absolutely no nasty marks or scratches at all. With this listing i have provided a complete MP3 of the playing side, this MP3 was taken directly from the acetate, please press play to here for yourself how well this very rare item plays. The blank black shiny B-side just has a few ultra-fine hairlines visible in harsher light, there is also the code '156AA' neatly machine stamped near the centre hole. The custom Apple label has the band name and song title hand written in blue biro, there is also the name 'GREEN' written in red pen near the bottom. The Acetate comes in a light brown paper cover which is in excellent clean condition with no marks or splits. This is just a brilliant mega-rare item in superb clean playing condition.
