Description
This Beatles India original 45 is a rarity 45 record featuring the Beatles songs LOVE ME DO (early original 1962 Ringo on Drums version) plus PS I LOVE YOU. Issued in India in early 1964. This vintage vinyl is a first press (“Made in India” at 6 o’clock) on the Parlophone label with the catalog number 45-R-4949. It is a high-fidelity Mono record with a black vinyl color and a 7" size, perfect for collectors of British Invasion music from the 1960s, especially import records. This record is a valuable piece of Beatlemania history, both songs showcase the iconic talents of Lennon-McCartney and were produced by Sir George Martin.
Only 6 countries released the Ringo on Drums version of LOVE ME DO on a 45: Great Britain, India, Canada, Holland, Germany, and much later the US!
This 45 is graded EX, both vinyl and labels, my highest grade! This is the first of 3 versions of the black label, “India” at 6 o’clock, 2nd press has “India” at 10 o’clock, and last version has (Private) at 2 o’clock. I am starting to sell off my large Beatles India 45 collection. Stay tuned! Lew.
