The BEATLES 45. Canada Capitol iconic Yellow-Orange Swirl Labels. Issued originally in 1963 from Canada’s Capitol label. The Beatles FIRST unique (non-US) single in Canada (of 9). This 45 Vinyl Condition is Goldmine EX. Nice and shiny and maybe a scuff or two, but very clean and plays thru very well. A great copy! And labels are clean too with little wear! Very nice, EX!! Still awesome for 55 year old vinyl. Note: matrix numbers are standard with dash-6 and dash-7 on A/B sides. So, definitely a 1964 7th Press, I believe!!!?? who knows anymore. Info varies!!! But any copy this nice is a SUPER Collectable from Canada. My 2nd best copy!! Here are 2 songs from the early Beatles: LOVE ME DO ‘62 (Ringo on Drums) and PS I LOVE YOU. THIS 1962 release date Live me do was the First Beatles UK single from October 1962. A fresh UK copy was shipped to Canada and dubbed to tape and pressed to this record by Capitol Canada. Less than 100 copies still exist. It sold poorly. But by 1963 and 1964 Beatlemania had exploded and eventually so did sales of multiple repressed editions!!! There was no US competition for this record till 1964 on Tollie, a sub company of VeeJay (VJ). This is one of the “Capitol Canada Nine”, singles on the Yellow/Orange Swirl labels that were NEVER released on Capitol in USA. ALSO: this includes an Original Canada Capitol Company Sleeve graded EX, very nice. Starting with I want To Hold Your Hand, both countries released the same singles, till 1970!! Both sides here are MONO as are all the Canada Capitol Beatles 45s until Get Back. Stereo did not become common on 45s till 1969!
