On offer here is a very, very rare 'crossover' pressing of the legendary Beatles album 'The Beatles', mostly commonly known as the White Album. This is the late 1969 press that features the later side opening sleeve but which features the original, 7 digit number stamped on the front!

These were only available for a tiny, tiny period of time before the 7 digit number was replaced with the much more common 6 digit number that you usually see on side opening sleeves.

This transition, or crossover, sleeve with the older, original 7 digit number appeared in late 1969 and, by the start of 1970, had already been replaced with the 6 digit number. It's said that just 50,000 copies were ever manufactured back in 1969 like this that were numbered from 0100000 to 0150000. The copy that's on offer here is number 0113334.

This copy features the correct dark Apple style labels without matt finish and comes complete with it's original poster and portrait photos!

Please make no mistake as to how rare these copies are. In the last 5 years, according to Popsike, only 9 copies have ever come up for sale! These are exceptionally hard to find!

The Cover : EX

The cover is holding up very nicely and is looking clean with just a little, minor wear and tear. The front cover has creamed just slightly but is predominantly clean with just a little rubbing on the laminate and some tiny creases around the edges. There's a knock on the mouth edge that has caused a creases and a tiny tear. Top and bottom seams are both holding perfectly with no wear, tears or splits. Spine is holding fine with no splits and with all the spinetext fully legible. and unworn. The back is nice and clean with just a little creaming and some light laminate rubbing and disc impression (most noticeable at the mouth edge). Inner gatefold is wonderfully lcean with a nice, sharp, shiny laminate. A previous owner has put little pen marks against some of the tracks listed on the left as you can see in the photo above. Overall, though, the sleeve is looking really, really nice!   The Poster : EX

The original, thick paper posted is included and is looking really, really nice! Clean with no rips or tears, and just the usual light wear you usually see on a poster that has had minimal opening. The seams are showing a little whitening from being opened and closed a number of times, and there's a small wearhole starting to make itself known where four of the folds combine, but overall the poster has minimal damage and is looking great!   The Photos : NM

The photos are in an incredible condition with their full, rich, original colours! All sit flat and have no damage to them whatsoever bar a couple of very tiny creases in the Ringo photo. The backs to each photo are also completely clean. Beautiful examples of these photos!   Disc 1 (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+

The playing surface has a lovely, crisp shine to it and has a fair amount of very light, faint scuffing all over, but nothing at all heavy or serious. Looking very nice!.

Disc 2 (Visually Graded Only!!) : EX-

Disc 2, again, has a really nice, sharp shine to it with just a little, light scuffing - a little less than the first disc so I've graded it slightly higher. Looking really nice!   Disc 1 Labels : EX++

The labels are very clean with no writing, tears, stickers. There's just a little, light spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Very nice, colourful labels!

Disc 2 Labels : EX+/NM-

Both labels are completely free of wear, tear, writing, stickers etc, and have just a few, light wispy spindlemarks. Beautiful labels!.   Terms and Conditions + Shipping Information
