This auction is for a very rare, original stereo 1st press copy of the legenday Beatles double LP 'The White Album'. This set is complete with the black sugar paper inner sleeves, the poster and all four photographs, and is numbered 0562502.

Interestingly enough, the disc 1 labels omit the 'An EMI recording' text, but features on the disc 2 labels.

In 1968, after their visit to India, the Beatles had enough material to fill two records. Rather than select just the best 14 and issue a single album the group decided to go all out and issue a lavish 2 disc LP set simply titled, "The Beatles". This record contained a huge poster with the lyrics to each song along with a collage on the other side, and a set of four photo prints showing each member of the group.

Today a complete White Album set is very hard to find, and usually copies of this album turn up incomplete or trashed. This is a very nice stereo example of this legenday LP and one that would look great in any Beatles collection!

The Cover : VG++





The top-opening cover is holding up very nicely for its age. The cover, as a whole, has creamed a little but noticeably but the laminate all over is clean and clear with no dirt building or anything. There's some little creases here and there but nothing at all serious. Side seams and bottom seams are all holding up nicely with no splits or tears or anything. The spine has had some of the laminate bubble away and crack, but there's no splits or tears and otherwise is holding up perfect. Back is pretty much just like the front, same with the inner gatefold. All looking quite lovely and holding up remarkably well for its age! Graded down a little due to it becoming more cream than white with age.   Inner Sleeves : VG+

Both original sugar paper black inner sleeves are included and are looking very nice! Both inner sleeves have some light creasing and a little disc impression with some light fraying at the mouth edges, and one has a few very light, faint little stains, but there are no tears or splitting or anything. Overall the inner sleeves are looking really nice for their age!   Poster : EX+

The poster is looking great! The folds in the poster look a little frayed but are all holding tightly with no splits or tears in any of them. The poster as a whole is looking really, really nice and, bar a very light, little splatter stain, is clean. Very nice poster!   Photos : NM-

All four photos are in a fantastic condition and looks like they've never been out of the album sleeve at all! Incredible condition!     Disc 1 (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+  

The playing surface has a really nice, crisp shine to it and has some light scuffing all over. There are some slightly heavier looking scuffs but none that I'd imagine could affect play. Very nice disc!

Disc 2 (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+

Disc 2, again, has a nice, crisp shine to it and has some light scuffing all over. I can see some slightly heavier looking marks but they're few and far between and don't look like they'd effect play.   Disc 1 Labels : EX

The labels are looking really clean with just a little spindlewear around the centrehole.
