The Beatles - 'Beatles For Sale' E.P. GEP 8931
The Beatles 1965 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Beatles For Sale' 7" E.P. Released on the 6th April 1965, it is offered here in solid EXCELLENT-/EXCELLENT condition and with very early 2 GR / 1 G STAMPERS.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Sold in UK....' text and have 'The Parlophone Co Ltd....' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side 2 label. The vinyl is housed within the original front laminated flip back picture sleeve. The sales for the album 'Beatles For Sale' from which these tracks were taken had been so remarkable, that fewer buyers were interested in this E.P. Quite a rarity now, even more so being a very early 1 G demo version.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. 7TCE 860-1N 2 GR KT
Side 2. 7TCE 861-1N 1 G KT
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT- condition on side one and VERY GOOD+ condition on side two.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. BUT some light wear to the top edge.
