Description

After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please check out my other listings and remember to save me as a favourite seller, as every week I'll be listing more and more increasingly rare, collectible and desirable Beatles records!

Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for an original STEREO pressing of the Beatles LP 'Rubber Soul' on the yellow / black Parlophone label.

Stereo LPs of the Beatles albums before 1967 are harder to find than their mono counterparts because stereo record players cost more than mono players back in the day, and stereo records cost more than mono. Therefore, many more mono copies sold than stereo. It wasn't until '67, when these two factors were done away with, that mono instantly became an obsolete format.

A rare copy of this fantastic Beatles LP!

The cover is showing general wear and tear, but is holding up okay with nothing serious going on. The front cover has a little wear around the edges with rounded corners and some laminate creases. Top seam has a little wear spots in a couple plates but is predominantly unworn and hasn't split. the bottom seam is showing a lot more of wear and has split in from the mouth about 2" to 2 1/2" inches in, approximately. The spine has some creases and some laminate creases running through it, but is unsplit and holding tight, and fully legible. The back cover has creamed slightly and is showing disc impression with a little extra browning in spots. There's some creases in the corners and some laminate creasing on the overflaps. Like I said, showing general wear and tear, but nothing too serious.   Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG-

The playing surface has a fair amount of light scuffing along with a couple of light surface scratches (which are mostly found on side 2), but I can't really see anything serious. It doesn't look trashed, just well played.

The labels are crisp and clear with bright text. There's a light, white powderyness - mostly on the side 2 label - that could be cleaned by a winning bidder. There's a little, light spidery spindlewear and just a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Nice labels!
