Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for an original STEREO 1st pressing of the Beatles LP 'Rubber Soul' on the yellow / black Parlophone label.
In 1965, when this LP was released, the stereo format was still very much a novelty. As stereophonic record players still cost a lot more than mono record players, and because stereo records cost a lot more than their mono counterparts, hardly anybody ever bought the stereo copies. Because of this, mono copies are everywhere but the original stereo copies are incredibly hard to find!

The cover is in a very decent, respectable condition. The front is nice and clean with a little, light laminate rubbing and a some laminate creases around the edges. Top seam is holding perfect with no wear or spits. The bottom seam has worn in the middle and has a split about 2-3 inches long. The spine is holding nicely with no splits or tears and just a few little creases, and all of the print is fully legible. The back has creamed slightly but is still looking pretty clean with just a few little creases in the overflaps. The overflaps are stuck tight bar a small flap that's come away at the top right and the name Agneta Bornduys (I think that's the surname) has been written at the top left in blue pen along with a phone number. The record comes with an original Emitex inner sleeve with plastic lining and not tissue paper. The name 'D Rawlings' has been written a few times over it. It's otherwise clean with some light creasing and disc impression, and a little wear at the mouth along with a small split on the seam of one side of the mouthedge that runs down about 3 or so inches. The playing surface has a very nice shine to it but has a fair amount of light scuffs over the playing surface with a few slightly heavier looking marks on the side 2 playing surface. Nothing at all nasty, though!

The labels are clean with bright, silver text and no rubbing, stickers, writing etc. There's quite a bit of light, faint spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Nice labels!
