After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please check out my other listings and remember to save me as a favourite seller, as every week I'll be listing more and more increasingly rare, collectible and desirable Beatles records!

This auction is for a rare transition pressing of the Beatles LP 'Rubber Soul' on the UK Parlophone label.

In 1966 Parlophone underwent a slight label revision where they changed the typeset used from Sans Serif to Times Roman, later changed back in late 1967. It appears that, when this label transition was taking place, a few older style labels got mixmatched with the newer, and a few copies snuck out with the Sans Serif typeset being used on one label and Times Roman being used on the other.

This is one of those rare presses and has the Sans Serif typeset on side 1 and the Times Roman typeset on side 2.

Pretty hard to find today!

The cover is looking really nice with just a little light wear and tear in places. The front has a nice, rich colour to it with just a little dirt buildup on the laminate. There's a little disc impression and some light creasing around the edges in the laminate. There's a larger crease in the bottom right corner as I've shown in the photo above. Top and bottom seams are both holding tight with no wear, tears or splitting whatsoever. The spine has a couple of little laminate creases but, again, is holding perfect with no wear, tears or splitting of any kind. The back cover has yellowed a little but is still looking good overall. There are a few little brown spots and some light browning on the mouth and spine sides. The overflaps are stuck tightly.   Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG+

The playing surface looks like to have lost a little of its shine, but is still looking nice with a fair amount of light, faint scuffs along with some slightly heavier marks in one or two places. Overall, not looking too bad.

The labels are clean with bright, silver text. Both labels have some light spindlewear as you can see in the photos above and just a few little spots of white around the centrehole. Nice labels!.
