PLEASE READ FIRST!
I'm having to make this even clearer as people are still buying records I'm grading low and as a 'collection filler', and then complain about the audio quality when they try to play them. As I do not own a record player I VISUALLY GRADE my records, so I cannotguarantee that discs will be click, skip and noise free (although any marks that may cause such problems will be highlighted in the description).
All photos are of the actual item on sale. I do not use stock or 'borrowed' images.

Original UK Decca Contract Pressing!
This auction is for a very rare and highly collectible DECCA contract pressing of the Beatles debut LP 'Please Please Me' on the Parlophone label.
When 'With the Beatles' was release at the end of 1963 the album it knocked from the number 1 spot was Please Please Me. So EMI had this overwhelming demand not only for the huge sales of the Beatles' debut album, but also their follow-up album. It's my opinion that this demand got so great at the end of 1963 that EMI contracted Decca to press a number of copies to keep on top of this demand. I believe that Decca were contracted to run off a quantity of both Please Please Me and With The Beatles album at this time. This would explain why it's easier to find With The Beatles with the Decca ring than Please Please Me, as by then demand for their debut album was waning and selling far fewer copies by this point.
It's very easy to spot a Decca contract pressing of Please Please Me as it features the very prominent Decca 'ring' and also the smaller 'polo' sized inner indentation.

Title Please Please Me Year of Release 1963 Catalogue Number PMC 1202 Label Yellow / black Parlophone with Decca ridge Tax Code on Disc - Sleeve Manufacturer Ernest J. Day Side 1 Matrix Number XEX 421-1N Side 2 Matrix Number XEX 422-1N Side 1 Stampers 1 11 / Side 2 Stampers 14 / Cover Condition The cover is in VG+ condition. The sleeve is holding up fine with just some light, general wear and tear typical of its age. No splits in any of the seams and the mouth is still pretty sharp. There's some light creasing and faint discolouration as you can see in the photos below. Nice example! Inner Sleeve Condition The inner sleeve is in G+ condition. The original plastic lined Emitex inner sleeve is included. It has creasing and some tearing in the seams but is still, overall, holding decently. Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG- condition. The disc has a clean surface but a fair amount of light scuffing long with some slightly heavier looking marks, a little moreso on side 1. There's one mark in particular on side 1 at 6 o'clock that runs half way into the opening track that I can just about feel with my fingernail. Label Condition The labels are in VG condition. The labels are looking pretty decent with bright, clear text. There's some light wear and some whitening around the centrehole as you can see in the photos below.
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

My Vinyl Grading:
MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.price rating
