THIS IS NOT A RE-ISSUE ! This is a Vintage, Limited Edition, 1st US Pressing of the Red Vinyl 2 Disc Set of the BEATLES 1962-1966 compilation LP with the CAPITOL RECORDS Dome Logo & Label, Catalog # SEBX-11842, pressed & released in the US in 1978. The listing title previously stated " NEW - OTHER" because it is exactly that, New - Never Played (but opened), but to comply with EBAY listing regulations, I changed it to USED - NEVER PLAYED. I worked for Capitol Records in Jacksonville Illinois from 1977-1986 and purchased this (and many, many other albums) directly from the employee store. It was intended to stay sealed and had stayed that way for many years until I caught my brother opening it just to look at the Red Vinyl Discs. I stopped him before he could remove the LP's from their sleeves, but the damage was done, the cellophane wrapper had been opened. As you can see in the photos the cellophane wrapper is still intact (except for the slit to access the LP's) and still has the original "Limited 2 Red Vinyl Discs Edition" sticker as well as the 1st Edition Red with Black Print "Song Title Listing" sticker with the Capitol Records Dome logo. This Double Album Gatefold Cover has Never Been Completely Opened or Unfolded and the Red Vinyl Discs Have Never Been Played. The discs have only been removed from their sleeves on very few, rare occasions & each time they were handled with white cotton gloves. The latest time was just recently in order to get the above photos.

Since these LP's have Never Been Played, I can not attest to their audio quality. By simply being opened, the static electricity inherent in vinyl LP's May Have been enough to cause some minute dust particles to attract to the grooves which could result in very light crackle, & they may require a gentle anti-static cleaning.
The vinyl discs look to be in Perfect Condition (Could be considered Mint but listed as Near Mint because they have been opened), they show no signs of damage such as scratches, scuffs, ring wear, hole wear, etc & the labels are in perfect condition. The red sleeves have the lyrics of all the songs and have just a few minor "waves" from storage. The Album Cover itself is in Excellent to Near Mint condition with only very minimal wear on the corners, mainly from being packed & unpacked while moving. It has no creases, dents or dings, no punch holes, cut corners, saw cut slits, etc.
This 39 Year Old LP Set is an Original, 1st US Pressing of the RED, Limited Edition, Retail release. Please look closely at all the photo's and ask any questions, I will reply promptly.
