THE DEFINITE ALBUM VOL. III, THE HONEYS
("THE HONEYS," no label #, boxed mono LP with booklet, poster, pinback button and card; numbered #147 of 150;
LP says "made in Paraguay;" c. late 1970s)

This mega-rarity dates from the late '70s and is a must for the serious Brian Wilson, Beach Boys, or Honeys collector. I bought it from Greg Shaw when it was brand new, so it’s a guaranteed first pressing.

Box includes a poster for a dream live show whose lineup comprises The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, and The Honeys.

There’s also a "ticket" to that imaginary concert, a pin reading "Ginger-Diane-Marilyn: The Honeys," an illustrated booklet with the band's history and detailed track notes, and a full-length LP that contains the following songs:

This set is number 147 of a limited edition of 150, authenticated on both the sticker on the plastic outer sleeve and on the "ticket" included inside. All songs are mono.

CONDITION: Box and contents are all in strong VF/M- shape, the only flaw even slightly evident being a small mark on the back cover of the booklet (which is a picture of Brian Wilson wearing the same button that’s included in the box).
LP has some slight abrasions to one side, but is otherwise lustrous and nice; needs a light cleaning. It rates as a strong FINE/VF disc

As far as I know, "For Always and Ever," recorded as a demo for The Paris Sisters; "Once You've Got Him," recorded as a demo for Hayley Mills; "When I Think About You"; and "Little Dirt Bike" have not been issued in any other form. If you have both the Capitol and Collectors' Choice Honeys CDs, you have the remaining dozen songs -- just not the cool history and packaging that go with them here!

With only 150 of these sets in existence, your chances of finding another copy are slender, at best! Don't miss this rare opportunity to score the ultimate tribute to the Honeys!
