"The Beach Boys Christmas Album" LP
Still sealed - never opened vinyl album
NOT A RE-ISSUE
Old STILL SEALED copy, purchased at the estate sale of a former Deejay.
Without opening the record and examining it's label, it is impossible to determine pressing date. However, we believe this to be a fairly old copy. Possibly original 1964, or maybe later in the 1960's...highly unlikely it is newer than early 70's, based on following info:
- It has an old "paste-on" style cover. Mid-1970's and newer covers are almost always printed on card stock.
- It has original 1960's stereo catalog number (ST-2164). Later copies (from mid-1970's onward) were re-issued with a different catalog number.
- "Also available in regular monophonic" is printed on the back cover, upper right corner. By 1970, record companies were no longer pressing mono LP's.
- The store sticker on front is a low price...$3.88. New albums in the 1960's and early 1970's were usually priced at 3 or 4 dollars. Around 1973 the prices started to go up to 5 dollars...and by the end of the decade, more like 8 dollars for a new album. Therefore, this must be a pretty old copy.
- There are NO factory cut-out holes and NO bar code.
