Description
This auction includes 2 LPs produced by the BBC Transcription Service containing Texts I, II, III, VI, VII, VIII, and IX of Samuel Beckett's TEXTS FOR NOTHING, performed by noted Beckett interpreter Patrick Magee.
All 13 of the TEXTS FOR NOTHING were recorded in 1974 and broadcast in 1975 over the course of four programs on BBC Radio 3. Beckett personally observed rehearsals for the recording.
This item is incomplete, comprising half of the full series. Unfortunately, the remaining 2 discs were not to be found when I purchased these. The 2 discs included in this auction are in excellent condition however, and include cue sheets and other documentation.
I am unable to find these performances for listening online, but they are held in the British Library.
