BBC PROGRESSIVE POP VOL. 1 (UK BBC Transcription Service MONO, July 1969) + BBC sleeve + 3 cue sheets (6 pages)
IMPORTANT! THE MUSIC CONTAINS ON ALL BBC TRANSCRIPTION DISCS WAS NOT TAKEN FROM POPULAR TV SHOW "Top Of The Pops" BUT IT WAS THE COMPILATION OF THE TRACKS FROM BBC RADIO ROCK & POP SHOWS, LIKE "Top Gear" (by John Peel) , "Saturday Club", "Night Ride" or "Sounds Of The Seventies".
PLEASE NOTE! 95% OF MUSIC ON BBC TRANSCRIPTIONS DISCS WERE RECORDED "LIVE IN STUDIO" WITH SOME MINIMAL OVERDUBS. ALL THOSE DISCS WERE PRESSED IN MICRO-QUANTITY OF 50-100 COPIES AND MOST OF THEM WERE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED.
ALL BBC TRANSCRIPTION DISCS LISTED DURING NEXT FEW WEEKS CAME FROM MY OWN RECORD COLLECTION AND ARE 100% ORIGINAL! THROUGH THE YEARS I DID PAY TOP MONEY FOR MY BBC TITLES, SO YOU CAN EXPECT TOP NOTCH QUALITY BETWEEN EX+ AND NEAR MINT!
This mega rare and unique PART 1 of just 2 editions of beautiful and short-lived "Progressive Pop" series was released in July 1969. There are no comments, interviews, announcements and no bad fade-outs on this album - just the music! I've just seen 2 copies in my life and both were in worse condition. Today I offer for sale BOTH "Progressive Pop" editions IN PRISTINE CONDITION!

Terry Reid - Writing On The Wall (slow, progressive track with heavy Hammond organ sound) The Strawbs - The Battle (with Rick Wakeman - much better, 6-minute version than studio LP take) Jeff Beck - Sweet Little Angel (awesome blues track - unreleased on both LPs) Family - Home Town (BBC version of rare B-side) Love Sculpture - The Inner Light (fantastic The Beatles' cover in heavy rock vein)

Pentangle - I Got A Feeling (radio version of "Sweet Child" LP track) Junior's Eyes - Imagination (amazing, 6-minute heavy-progressive rock by then the David Bowie's backing band!) Fleetwood Mack - I Talk With You (not released on official BBC 2CD) Honeybus - Black Mourning Band (radio version of very fine, album track) Van Der Graaf Generator - Necromancer (heavier and better radio version of great track from debut LP )
COMPANY COVER: MINT- Yellow BBC Transcription Disc company cover is in near perfect condition just with small number on. CUE SHEETS: MINT- No writings, no huge creases and no tears. RECORD: MINT- Great, almost perfect condition with NO marks at all. Great audio! LABELS: MINT- Both yellow-green labels are in perfect condition. No writings!
