Description
You are bidding on a 12” vinyl LP of B.B. King's album - Live At The Apollo featuring the Philip Morris Superband. At the time of listing this there are no other vinyl copies (that I can find) on eBay. I am therefore figuring that this is a "Rare" item. This copy is in excellent condition. Please read on for full details.
Please read the condition of the item carefully before bidding.
This is from my own personal collection. It’s time to make some space so sadly I am selling my vinyl collection. Please check out my other items for sale and there are many more to follow, so keep checking back.
Tracks:
Side 1 – When Love Comes To Town : Sweet Sixteen : The Thrill Is Gone : Ain't Nobody's Bizness : Paying The Cost to Be The Boss
Side 2 - All Over Again : Nightlife : Since I Met you Baby : Guess Who : Peace To The World
I am not a record dealer and I am not an expert at grading records. I will give as much information as possible to assist in identifying particular albums and an honest opinion as to condition.
For the vinyl collectors looking in, the following information is available:
Label: GRP (also mentions MCA in small print on cover)
Year: 1991
Catalogue No: GR-9637
Additional Matrix number information: (side 1) very faint and difficult to read. it looks like GR 9637 A DMM below that is SP1-(a tick symbol) (side 2) again very faint GR 9637 B DMM below that is SP1-1 (the tick symbol on side 1 might be the number 1 which has "gone wrong") I can also see the word STERLING very faintly scratched in to the matrix area.
The front cover does say "Digital Master" which I haven't seen on any other LP's I'm listing.
Manufactured and distributed by GRP records inc. 555 W57th St. New York N.Y. 10019
Stereo.
Condition: EXC
Record: Both labels very clean. The vinyl has some light finger marking. I can see the faintest of hairline marks (only a couple I think). I have played the whole album through. It plays really well with no jumps, skips or sticking. It has a very good clean sound. I didn't hear any surface noise. I heard a couple of very faint clicks between two of the tracks. I didn't hear any other clicks at all. Overall a really good listen.
Cover: single sleeve. Front and back very clean. Very faint ring mark on front and back where the disc has sat inside. All edges and seams are intact and show hardly any sign of wear. All corners are very good. A couple of extremely minor crease marks near spine. The spine is very good and all spine text is clear and readable. To me, the cover still has a "new" feel to it.
Inner sleeve: white paper with some age discolouration. All intact and very minor crease marks.
Compared with how others grade LP’s on eBay I would say this is EXC. I think others may even add some +'s to that and some may even go as far as Near Mint.
This is an extremely respectable looking and excellent playing album. Bearing in mind it also appears to be a hard to come by item this may be a rare opportunity for any serious BB King or Blues collector to own this album.
If you would like any further information regarding this item, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer your questions.
Describing the condition of items is very subjective.(one man’s treasure is another man’s junk etc). I will always try to be as honest as possible in describing the items. I would rather be honest from the outset, than end up with a disappointed winning bidder. I buy things on eBay as well and would expect the same honesty from others.
There is no reserve on this item.
Items will be dispatched by Royal Mail First Class post. I will obtain a receipt for postage, but cannot accept responsibility for items not delivered.
I understand “standard” first class mail is insured for items up to a value of £20.00. If you would prefer items insured for more, tracked, special delivery, recorded and “signed for” delivery, please contact me prior to paying.
If my starting bid is over £20.00 I will include a postage price that will cover for "Signed For" postage (this insures for up to £50) and if the starting bid or final bid is over £50 I will send via Special Delivery which I believe insures for up to £500.00.
All albums are dispatched in sturdy cardboard mailers with additional stiffeners, to ensure safe arrival. The cost of this packaging is included in the postage price.
Winning bidders must pay within three days of end of auction or the item will be relisted and eBay informed of non-payment.
Instant PayPal payments only please. I do not accept cheques in any form (including eCheques)
International bidders MUST please contact me prior to bidding for postage costs. I will only ship to Europe and Worldwide via International “signed for” airmail and this can be a costly business.
Thank you for looking. Good luck and happy bidding.
