I am selling a number of records from my collection.  I am not a record dealer, and these are straight off of my own shelves at home.

All condition descriptions are based on standards described in the Goldmine lp value guides.

According to my 1999 edition of Goldmine Record Album Price Guide there are only 255 albums that are worth $1000 or more in near mint condition.  This lp is valued at $1500.00 in near mint in all of the Goldmine Guides through the current editions.

This item is a NEAR MINT copy of Battle of the Blues, Volume 3 (King 634).  This is an extremely rare compilation lp released in 1960 by King Records.  Side one consists of 8 Eddie Vinson tracks, while side 2 consists of 8 Jimmy Witherspoon tracks (one [Foolish Prayer] a duet with a male singer I cannot identify).  The vinyl is nearly flawless, with minimal to no surface noise.  This is not an audiophile pressing, so there is some very minor background surface noise, however there is virtually nothing in the way of wear affecting the sound quality.  The lables are excellent as well, although both sides have (tellingly) a single spindle mark.  I'd be willing to bet, given the condition of the vinyl, that this was the only time this record was played before I got it.  It's an incredibly rare find to get a pressing of this album in this kind of condition!  Without exaggeration, this record may well be the best available copy of this lp in existence!

The jacket is equally nice, although there is visible (very light) ring wear and some minor edge wear (see photo for the very worst of the edge wear).  There is also a 1.5" split in the bottom edge of the jacket.  By Goldmine standards it's a strong VG/VG+ condition.  The plain white dust jacket is split 2" on one edge, but is otherwise excellent as well.

Side 2, Jimmy Witherspoon:  The Last Mile, 24 Sad Hours, Blues in Trouble, Sad Life, Don't Tell Me Now (mis-titled on jacket), Foolish Prayer, Highway to Happiness, I Done Told You.

eBay has also modified it's listing procedure so that international shipping cost needs to be listed, even though they'll likely vary depending on which of 150 countries the buyer may be located in.  International bidders, do not pay for this item before I send a revised shipping cost depending on your location (which may be less than the figure listed below and in eBay's initial notice to the winner) in an invoice!  Please read the next paragraph to see how that will be calculated.  Thanks.

Shipping and handling for this item is only $3.65. Priority Mail and insured shipment are optional.  Combined shipping of multiple purchases with reduced cost is allowed, of course.  Canadian and other International biders are welcome, and will have to pay shipping and handling costs of actual postage plus $2.50 to cover eBay and PayPal costs (SEE BOLD PRINT PARAGRAPH ABOVE). Bids from bidders with negative total feedback or "private" feedback will not be accepted.
