THE BATISTE BROTHERS BAND – “Freeze” (1982) Dynasty-181952 original pressing
A monster local New Orleans funk LP with a heavy Zapp-like vibe..
David Batiste on keys, Paul Batiste on guitar, Michael Batiste on bass and lead vocals, Peter Batiste on keys, Russell Batiste on drums, and Damon Batiste on percussion.The songs are “Freeze,” “Shapely Lady,” “Dancin’ Shoes,” “It’s All About the Family,” “Party Down,” “Can’t Get You Off My Mind,” “Hooked on You,” and “Never Leave You Baby.”
This is a beautiful copy that includes the original lyric inner sleeve. The only detraction is the slightest hit of ringwear on the front cover only, which is barely noticeable, and a 1” seam split at the bottom seam at the jacket opening. The vinyl is beautiful and glossy with only a hint of very light whisper sleeve scuffs – it’s in wonderful shape! I grade this conservatively VG++/M- (cov/rec).
Winner pays postage. Domestic U.S. shipping is $3.50 media rate or $7 for priority mail (insurance additional and quoted at cost). I will quote overseas postage when overseas winning bidder specifies air/surface mail – a good guideline is $7 for a single LP by surface mail and $12 for a single LP by airmail.
I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
Personal checks are cool for payment but must clear (10 business days). Money orders get next day shipping. Overseas, we'll work this out – I’m really flexible. I do accept Bidpay.com. However, I am not able to accept Paypal or any other credit card payment.
