Description
This is an overall fine original mono U.S. pressing copy of the rare sole LP by American garage-pop group the Baskerville Hounds, released in 1967. The group were from Cleveland, and through 1965-66 released several singles on the local Tema label before recording their LP. Four tracks from those singles, including the title track, are included here, along with several other originals and three cover versions, including the Beatles' "Penny Lane." The group took their name from Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles. The jacket has corner creasing and wear, light ring wear and staining on the back cover, and light wear on the bottom seam (EX). Visually, the disc has a couple of longish (1½”) scratches on side 1 (which have little to no effect on play), and is otherwise clean with some light scuffing and loss of glossiness. It plays with steady light to occasionally moderate surface noise (VG++). The record comes with the original label inner sleeve.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
