WOMAN'S COLOURS - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp by THE BARIGOZZI GROUP. Original Italian pressing on the FONOVIDEO label (FLP 111), from 1974. Original 1st pressing of Barigozzi's Library masterpiece. Every theme is killer. A sophisticated and infectious mix of jazz funk / bossa groove and psychedelic lounge featuring Barigozzi's mystical flute / Oscar Rocchi's far-out electric piano and stoned synthesizers over slick, funky rhythms. Euro jazz / middle eastern cum Arabic influenced horn section / fuzz / amazing beats / hip hop drum patterns by Tullio De Piscopo and tons of funky breaks featuring all the group. Spaced-out keyboard sounds a la James Mason Rhythm Of Life on BLUE HAIRS / IVORY BREAST / BLACK HEART / GREY CHEEKS etc. For us, easily one of the best Italian Library money can buy. Woman's Colours completely destroys Barigozzi's Urubamba Tropicals session too. Partially re-issued by Right Tempo for their Optical Sound release (and also a couple of themes on Easy Tempo Vol 2) but as you should all know by now, compilers always leave the hottest tunes uncomped. Outstanding trax like YELLOW FINGERS / ROSE NOSE / GREEN NAILS and DARK HANDS are maybe even better than anything comped to date but you can decide. Our soundclip opens with the stoned cosmic funk of IVORY BREAST then YELLOW FINGERS followed by the entire session. Many club tunes for DJs. Stylish and eclectic arrangements inspired by the female form ;) Pop art influenced sleeve artwork. Very rare Library Lp!!! Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with hairlines and faded, old pressing marks from the original plastic inner (all quite common for this release, in general). Light surface noises. Booming production sound. The pop art soft card sleeve is in strong VG+ condition with general wear. Mostly ring marks and dirt marks from storage (again common for this release). Edge and corner wear. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Very rare Library Lp!!!
