Description
- Badfinger released their fourth studio album "Straight Up" in December 1971 on Apple Records. It is their most successful album and include the hits "Day After Day" and "Baby Blue" which saw a huge boost in popularity when it was later used in the closing scenes of "Breaking Bad." George Harrison plays on two tracks and was going to produce the record but was so consumed by putting the Concert For Bangladesh together that he turned over the reigns to Todd Rundgren.
- This rare Promo copy of (SW-3387) is from the First Pressing and is in amazing condition for a 50-year-old record. The cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and is in Near-Mint condition. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Lee Hulko at Sterling Sound in NYC and this copy was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Winchester, Virginia. The Side One dead wax is etched ST-1-3387 Z1 —? STERLING LH2 except for Sterling which is stamped.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
- Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 50 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
