In May 1970, Track Records launched the budget Backtrack series priced at 99p. Some 14 albums in total a mixture of various artists’ albums and re-releases. The first six featured a young boy smoking something illegal on the front cover, all of which came in different colour variant. From seven onwards it was a plain sleeve, with the picture reduced to a sort of logo. The series carried the catalogue numbers 2407-001 to 014.
Have decided to sell my complete Backtrack series. This includes the mono of stereo versions of Jimi Hendrix Are Your Experienced (2407 010). They will be sold off in packs of three. Vinyl ranges from VG+ to EX, all play well. Sleeves VG to VG+ mainly VG+. See album sleeve and labels for track listing.

Compilation includes Marsha Hunt, Jimi Hendrix, Arthur Brown, The Who and Johns Children. VG+/EX- sleeve VG
Sleeve: Non-laminated sleeve shows signs of age-related handling, light age-related scuffing on edge and corner (see photos). Graded VG. Labels: Classic Black label with boxed Track Records logo in silver. No writing/sticker residue, light spindle marks only, low play VG+. Vinyl: lays flat, retains a gloss, closer inspection just a few extremely feint hairlines only, graded VG+/EX-. Comes in new polylined inner. Audio: Both sides play through clean - with no major issues, no skips, sticks, pips, pops or background crackle. Strong VG+ more EX-

Sleeve: Non-laminated stiff card sleeve, fully readable spine, all edge clean, light edge scuffs only, (see photos). Graded VG+. Labels: Classic Black label with boxed TrackRecords logo in silver. No writing/sticker residue, extremely light spindle marks only reflecting low play VG+. Vinyl: lays flat, retains a gloss, closer inspection shows light/feint hairlines only, graded VG+ towards EX-. Audio: Both sides play through with no major issues, no skips, sticks, pips or pops. Strong VG+ /EX-

Sleeve: Non-laminated stiff card sleeve, fully readable spine, all edge clean, including sharp corners (see photos). Graded strong VG+. Labels: Classic Black label with boxed TrackRecords logo in silver. No writing/sticker residue, spindle marks VG+. Vinyl: lays flat, retains a gloss, closer inspection under light shows light hairlines, non-sounding mild cosmetic paper scuffs/sleeve removal mainly on S1 – nothing that effects play, graded VG+. Audio: Both sides play through with no major issues. Plays clean no skips, sticks, pips or pops. Strong VG+ /EX-
I use Royal Mail 48hr Tracked and usually post within 24 hours.
I have tried to be honest and transparent in my description; the photographs form part of the description. Questions are welcome, don't hesitate to ask. I have good feedback (and positive comments) as both a buyer and seller, so you can buy with confidence. I am a collector of 47+ years, selling a few to fund my ever-changing music habits. The few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again – which this is. If anything is not as expected, please contact me straight away and I will do everything to resolve any problems without argument.
I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
