Description
BACKTRACK 1 John's Children The Who Jimi Hendrix Eire Apparent Marsha Hunt A1/B1
Backtrack One.
The first LP in the Backtrack series which featured various artists from the Track roster.Original 1970 UK pressed Track Records stereo (some tracks mono) LP, 2407 001.
Earliest pressing with black and silver print matt paper labels and A1/B1 matrix suffixes.
A generally well preserved LP. Spider trail marks around the spindle areas indicates previous plays but not excessively so and the labels are clean and without wear. The playing surfaces still have a good gloss and have no obvious marks on the playing surfaces. Close inspection with a magnifying glass reveals a few minor hairline marks and scuffs but these all very small. A few tiny imperfections are also noticeable, inherent in the press - none of these are sounding.
Playback is at least top end VG plus and only a tad short of EX. Some marginal background crackle, mostly at band separators, and no ticks or clicks.
Original poly lined "British Patent" inner sleeve close to EX.
External sleeve a very solid VG. Main panels are free of loss, inscriptions etc. Some light ringwear impression and storage rubbing, but generally the sleeve still has a good gloss and has not become tired and worn looking. No seam splits but edges and joints have some minor whitening and wear, and one or two tiny hairline pinch creases lead in to main panels from spine area. Entry side crisp and not feathered. Tips just fractionally whitened and not heavily worn or rounded.
