TITLE: 6 SONATAS AND PARTITAS FOR SOLO VIOLIN
RECORD LABEL: DEUTSCHE GRAMMOPHON 139 270/2. Early tulip label. Stereo Vinyl. Made in Germany. 3 LPs and a 12-page full size booklet in a linen covered box set. Booklet, original inner sleeves and a thin paper insert are included with the records.
DESCRIPTION: A beautiful copy of this original tulip label issue of HENRYK SZERING playing J.S.BACH's 6 SONATAS AND PARTITAS FOR SOLO VIOLIN. This is the best copy we have seen.
"Henryk Szeryng was one of the great violinists of this century, fully equal - or superior - both technically and artistically to other more famous violinists. His performances of the Bach Sonatas and Partitas were particularly outstanding. Many years ago a leading magazine wrote that "nobody plays unaccompanied Bach like Henryk Szeryng." They were right; in this music he is without peer."

Probably treated with LAST, and we did not sample beforehand, but after cleaning the records with a NITTY GRITTY MINI-PRO vacuum record cleaning machine--
RECORD ONE has a slight dish warp, does not affect play.

COVER is VG++, barely any wear on top edges or corners, inside cloth binding intact, bottom corners only very slightly worn. GRAND PRIZE sticker just starting to peel.
Booklet is NM-, tiniest corner wear, barely handled, no writing, no tears.
Paper inner sleeves have small writing notation on one corner each.
